Welcome Back!
I am pleased to announce that the Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS) and Celeste Baine have continued to expand their partnership and this summer, JETS purchased The Pre-Engineering Times from Celeste. What does this mean to you? An even better, more content rich newsletter…Celeste will remain the editor of the newsletter, so you will continue to receive the excellent engineering information you have come to expect from The Pre-Engineering Times, but now you will also receive the latest information about JETS programs and activities, all in one monthly newsletter. The Pre-Engineering Times will be your most up-to-date resource for pre-engineering information for you and your students.
As the new Executive Director of JETS, I am excited about the new school year and informing you and your students about the wide world of engineering through the newsletter and JETS programs and activities. I invite you to browse through our website (www.jets.org) to find out more about our programs and how they can enhance your curriculum by bringing engineering to life in your classroom. New content is continuously being added to the JETS website and it is our goal to make it your preferred resource for engineering information and activities.
I'd like to thank our premiere (and first ever) sponsor of The Pre-Engineering Times Professional Publications, Inc. With their support, we are able to expand the content of the newsletter and bring you a graphically enhanced version right to your email box each month throughout the school year.
We hope you will find these changes to be a positive addition to The Pre-Engineering Times. Let us know what you think about the new format and what you'd like to see in future issues. Send your comments to petimes@jets.org.
Have a great year!
Leann Yoder
