Founded in 1905, SAE International is a membership association of more than 90,000 professionals in 100 countries. SAE develops standards, professional development programs and publications in the automotive, aerospace and commercial vehicle industries. The standards promote safety, uniformity and cost savings; the professional development programs include conferences, seminars and access to industry research; and the publications are offered in printed and electronic format and range from engineering magazines to technical papers to books. SAE has affiliate organizations in Brazil, India and the United Kingdom.

A World In Motion, now in its 16th academic year of distribution, makes the challenges of math and science exciting by bringing authentic engineering design experiences into the classroom. The AWIM program is comprised of a series of four curricula referred to as Challenges for students in grades 4 -10. The AWIM curriculum joins together teachers, students, and volunteer practicing engineers and scientists in an exploration of physical science.

A World In Motion brings math and science principles to life through highly interactive learning experiences that incorporate the laws of physics, motion, flight, and electronics. Each of the AWIM Challenges is designed around current math, science, and technology standards.
