Letter from JETS
Happy Engineers Week to all—including all our future engineers—boys and girls alike.
JETS is celebrating this month with the NEDC Finals in our nation's capital on Friday, February 16. In addition the TEAMS competition kicked off with the first event being held at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. More than 14,000 students will be participating in TEAMS this year. In addition more than 1,000 high school students across the country are now registered members of JETS Clubs!
Our JETS celebration also includes the launch of Assess. Formerly known as the NEAS+ assessment tool, the newly updated and revised ASSESS now features three parts: explore, assess, and experience. Visit the Coaches Corner for more information on these valuable JETS offerings.
The theme for February's PE-Times is automotive engineering. Hands on activities for February provide the opportunity for students to explore the importance of friction to automotive engineers designing safe cars. Explore the "Feature Story" and "Extreme Engineering" articles to learn more about one of the fastest-paced and most demanding engineering disciplines.
Happy Engineers Week to all from JETS!
