Letter from JETS

JETS is moving into high season this month. Many of you are gearing up for the TEAMS competition. We also want to extend congratulations to all the teams who participated in NEDC this year. We will be announcing the names of the five teams chosen to compete in Nationals later this week.

Both the feature of the month and the extreme engineer this month explore surveying engineering. This speciality provides a great way to combine a love for math, science, and the outdoors—while contributing to society on important projects. Our extreme engineer of the month, Christopher Medina, has taken the engineering profession on step further by starting his own business, a professional surveying company. This provides insight into yet another dimension of challenging careers in engineering.
