Why Host TEAMS?
 |
 |
Announcement!
Colleges, universities, and other organizations host JETS TEAMS competitions each year. TEAMS competitions depend on the hospitality of our hosts. Hosts select and reserve the location for the competition. TEAMS hosts manage the overall local program administration, including selecting and reserving the competition facility, inviting local schools, processing registration fees, promoting the event, and serving as the main point-of-contact between the local competition and the high school.

The Benefits
By hosting a TEAMS Competition, your university is opening a window of opportunity to students for a future that they may not have otherwise considered; however, the benefits of being involved in a TEAMS Competition are not just for students. The “perks” for a hosting university include:
- gaining nationwide recognition as a leading academic institution supporting pre-college engineering and technology education;
- showcasing your math, science, technology and engineering programs to the best and the brightest high school students — and their teachers and parents — in your local community;
- bringing students to your campus to learn about your engineering or technology programs;
- developing a list of top recruits to invite to additional campus events and augmenting your mailing list;
- encouraging engineering as a major and profession to high school students;
- developing an ongoing relationship with teachers and providing supplemental materials to better prepare high school students for college engineering and technology programs;
- enhancing your community outreach initiatives.
- introducing and encouraging engineering as both a major and a profession, helping to develop the next generation of engineers.
